Carlos Zambrano will follow Ryan Dempster in the Chicago Cubs' postseason rotation, and manager Lou Piniella said he expects his fiery ace to be ready.
"Hopefully in the postseason he will pitch very well for us, we need him to pitch well," the manager said.
Piniella also announced Rich Harden would pitch Game 3 of the NL division series and Ted Lilly in Game 4, if necessary.
"I said before I announced any pitcher that I had confidence in all four of my starters, so all games are equally important, and we chose to go this way," Piniella said. "Everybody's got to do their job now."
